A woman in Atlanta, Georgia, not only decided to reveal to a coworker that she was getting fired, but also chose to share the story on TikTok. The clip went viral, and the company she worked for found it weeks later. Now, she is out of a job, too.
The now-unemployed womman is Tiffany, also known as tiffany2.0official on TikTok. She mostly posts lifestyle, workout, and storytime content on her account, but the clip attached above and the original one went viral. Her firing announcement garnered 984,500 views, 59,800 likes, and more than 2,200 comments.
The Georgia woman went straight to the point, saying that she had just been fired from her job as an IT manager at her company. She provided a simple explanation, saying, “They found the video.” What she is referring to is a previous viral clip she had posted on May 26 about a workplace-related incident she decided to talk about publicly.
Clip Ends With Two Unemployed Women
Tiffany, in her first clip, said that she had found out that one of her female coworkers was getting fired. As an IT manager, she is well aware of those who are going to lose their jobs, as she has to handle offboarding processes such as revoking access to their emails.
After calling her boss a “super” b-word, she detailed that her coworker’s firing was “super confidential.” However, Tiffany considered her coworker a “really sweet girl,” and detailed that she had just gotten promoted. Therefore, she decided not to follow the “super confidential” guidelines.
The Georgia woman admitted to telling her coworker that she was getting fired and that the company already had her replacement. The coworker, understandably, bawled her eyes out, especially since either women knew why she was getting fired. She, however, did notice that their boss treated her differently after she discussed her pay raise.
Tiffany, again, admitted on camera to telling her coworker to gather all the evidence she could against the company. Then, she said she texted her, “Happy firing day,” and later admitted to feeling “happy” because she empowered her friend.
Weeks later, Tiffany was also fired. She detailed that, after a normal day at work, she lost access to her Slack channel and work email. Then, she received a call, confirming she was getting fired. When she asked, they confirmed it: they had seen the TikTok clip and also a follow-up.

Many viewers argued that posting about workplace-related issues was not the greatest idea at all. One said, “When will we learn not to post about our workplace?” Another one commented, “It shocks me that people post videos and forget they work for companies.”
Others theorized who ended up costing the Georgia woman her job. One user wrote, “Perhaps it was the girl you tried to help who alerted them to this.” Others stated that they knew something like this would happen the minute she posted the first clip. One said, “Took longer than I thought.”
