  • Farming & Crafting Combo Chipsets in Once Human

You can’t go far without Energy Link in Once Human, as it’s practically the “money” in-game. Any player can use it to buy a big chunk of the game’s materials and even buy Acid in bulk from other players‘ Vending Machines. You’ll want easy access to unlimited Energy Links, of course, and one of the easiest ways to achieve this is through the Combo Chipset. Here’s how to craft and farm the Combo Chipset in Once Human to make you an Energy Linkillionaire.

Sadly, the only way to be able to craft a Combo Chipset in Once Human is to unlock a specific Memetic Specialization called, well, Combo Chipset (Machinist). That’s the hard part.

You might never actually get the Combo Chipset Specialization. It all depends on your luck every five levels. However, Once Human lets you reset specific Specializations up to five times, so you can try out your luck further.

In case you’re one of the lucky ones who manage to snag the Combo Chipset Specialization, here’s how to craft it and farm the materials for it.

Each Combo Chipset requires the following parts when crafted at the Supplies Workbench:

12x Special / Rusted / Standard / Refined / Automatic Part
20x Metal Scraps
30x Electronic Part

You can craft it one at a time, and once you have it, you can sell it to Energy Link merchant NPCs in any of the five safe-haven towns in the game. Each Combo Chipset can sell for 12,000 Energy Links.

All the materials you need for crafting the Combo Chipset are obtainable by disassembling scraps you find. Now, the mechanical parts are easy enough to obtain and you likely have a bulk of them sitting in your storage. Metal Scraps are also easy to come by.

The real bottleneck here is the Electronic Parts needed for each Combo Chipset since you need 30 Electronic Parts. Even Turrets don’t take that much. So that’s what we’ll be focusing on (and you can get mechanical parts and Metal Scraps along the way).

Best Place to Farm Electronic Parts

The good news is that Electronic Parts drop at every level or every electronic scrap you disassemble. So you just need to find a lucrative spot.

I recommend Blackfell Fallen Zone in Red Sands since there’s a nearby Teleporter (town). It’s dense with buildings and each scrap run can net you dozens of Electronic Parts. However, this is a Level 40+ area.

For anyone below that level, Rossetta labs and bases, particularly those around Monoliths have a high concentration of gadgets that you can disassemble for Electronic Parts. At the same time, you’ll also be getting lots of Metal Scraps and mechanical parts. So consider these Electronic Part farms as an all-in-one farm for Combo Chipsets.
