In an interview with The Sunday Times, the model revealed how co-parenting works with the Dusk Till Dawn singer. Gigi revealed that she schedules her work appointment for when their 2-year-old daughter is with her dad. The supermodel added that it gives her great joy that Khai can be with both parents. Despite their failed romance, the pair remain dedicated to their daughter.

In November 2021, a close source to the supermodel confirmed to E! News that the couple split up. The former couple broke up over a year after welcoming their daughter.
The news of the former couple’s split came about after an alleged family dispute. According to sources, the One Direction alum had a dispute with the television personality’s mom, Yolanda Hadid. A police report filed in Pennsylvania was obtained by the news outlet at the time.
According to the police report, the Pillow Talk singer allegedly “grabbed and shoved” Yolanda “into a dresser causing mental anguish and physical pain.” Malik denied the allegations against him. The singer also “pleaded no contest to four counts of harassment.” The singer was later put on probation and ordered to complete an anger management class, according to court documents.
Gigi did not publicly address the incident between her ex and her mother. However, the award-winning model is on good terms with her baby daddy as they co-parent their daughter. Gigi even gave a shout-out to Malik on father’s day to show that they are cool. They may not be romantically involved, but they have a daughter to take care of.
