The Ironheart cast continues to grow as Deadline reports that GLOW star Shakira Barrera will jump into the Disney Plus Marvel series. No details were mentioned for her role, and Marvel reps did not comment on the casting report. She is reported to be a series regular for the six-episode show.
The comic book character of Riri Williams is a brilliant young woman who obtains Stark’s tech and makes a suit reminiscent of Ironman’s. Dominique Thorne (Judas and the Black Messiah) will play the hero and will make her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where she can be briefly seen in a few shots in the trailer along with the character’s signature heart symbol. The supporting cast consists of Glow star Shakira Barrera, Anthony Ramos (In the Heights), Manny Montana (Mayans M.C.), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Regan Alliyah (BF for Hire), Zoe Terakes (Nine Perfect Strangers), and Shea Couleé, who is making her acting debut in the series.
