GMA3 has gotten new co-hosts a few months after TJ Holmes and Amy Robach’s romance scandal. After the pair’s romantic relationship became known to the public last November, they decided to move on together. Good Morning America: What You Need To Know, which is often shortened to GMA3, is a daytime news program in America broadcasted by ABC. GMA3 often focuses on a wide range of subjects, including Health, Finance, Education, Technology, and other topics. After Robach and Holmes’ exit, ABC decided it was time to move on.
When Did GMA3 Get New Co-Hosts?
GMA3 now has new anchors for the news broadcast after the departure of TJ Holmes and Amy Robach from the show for almost four months. After the news of the couple’s relationship broke out, they decided to exit the news program.
In light of that, according to a release from ABC News, Eva Pilgrim, and DeMarco Morgan will now serve as co-anchors for the news program. In addition, ABC News chief health and medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton will remain with GMA3. Dr. Ashton previously anchored the news program alongside 45-year-old Holmes and 50-year-old Robach.
The 40-year-old news anchor, Pilgrim, has co-anchored Good Morning America Saturday and Sunday since 2018. The news co-host has covered many high-profile breaking news stories in her career. 44-year-old Morgan, on the other hand, joined ABC News in 2022 as a correspondent based out of Los Angeles.
When Did TJ Holmes and Amy Robach Exit GMA3?
On November 30, the pair’s relationship broke out when photos of them holding hands in a car broke out on the internet. The couple were enjoying a vacation in upstate New York. Therefore, Holmes and Robach were absent on the December 5 broadcast following the news of their relationship.
At the time, the duo was temporarily replaced by news presenters Benitez and ABC correspondent Stephanie Ramos. A source revealed to People that President Kim Godwin of ABC News made the replacement.
The duo was previously in a relationship with other people before the news of the couple’s relationship broke out. However, a source revealed to the publication that both Holmes and Robach had separated from their partners in August. Robach was previously married to actor Andrew Shue, while Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. In late January, the pair announced they had decided to move on from ABC News.
