A pregnant Michigan woman says a dispute over a handicap parking spot turned into a confrontation after a couple questioned why she was parked there. The situation escalated when the woman and her husband allegedly got into the creator’s personal space, with the husband telling her to “go back to the hood.”
Posted to TikTok by @synnamonho, the video captures the tail end of the confrontation. The creator repeatedly tells the woman to get away from her while her boyfriend warns the couple to back up.
The creator says the couple approached them over the handicap parking spot even after she explained they had the right to park there. According to her caption, she has a permanent handicap placard registered to her vehicle’s plates.
In the video, the creator can be heard telling the woman, “Get away from me. Please, leave me alone.” The woman’s husband then says, “Go back to the hood.” Her boyfriend immediately responds by repeatedly yelling, “Racism.”
The woman dismisses the accusation as “playing the race card,” prompting the creator to point back to the “hood” remark. She then questions why the couple approached them in the first place.

TikTok Wasn’t Letting That Slide
The commenters quickly focused on the parking dispute and why the couple felt the need to question the creator. “Are they saying pregnant people can’t be handicapped?” one viewer asked.
Another commenter argued that pregnancy can sometimes be connected to eligibility for a handicap placard, writing, “Mind you most states you can bring a letter from you dr saying your pregnant and they give you a handicap sticker because it is in fact a DISABILITY.”
Others were more focused on the confrontation itself and questioned why the couple didn’t simply leave the creator alone. “I just dont understand why ppl can’t mind the biz that pays them!” one viewer wrote, before praising the creator for standing up for herself and suggesting she make a police report for what they described as vandalism and harassment. They also wished her a safe pregnancy and delivery.
The alleged “go back to the hood” comment also remained a major point of discussion. “They always scurry off after saying something racist,” one commenter wrote. Another, describing herself as a “non-practicing white woman“, apologized to the creator for what she called ignorance and racism.
Not every comment was sympathetic, though. One viewer, who described herself as 65 years old, suggested the confrontation may have stemmed from how the Michigan creator carried herself. She said she had never needed to raise her voice to make someone leave her alone. She added, “There’s a way one carries oneself, so these things NEVER happen.”
For many viewers, the frustrating part was that the confrontation never needed to happen. The creator wasn’t bothering anyone, yet she was suddenly expected to explain herself to people who had no business demanding an answer.
