God of War Where to Find Anchors of Fog
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

Anchors of Fog are single-use items in God of War that Kratos must find to complete specific quests and access Realm Tears in Niflheim. These rare objects are located within Ivaldi’s Workshop, an everchanging, mist-enveloped series of rooms filled with deadly traps and enemies. Each room spawns several enemies that Kratos must defeat, and once they’ve all been vanquished, a chest will appear. This chest has a chance to contain valuable loot or an Anchor of Fog; however, the chamber may also spawn a tough Valkyrie. It’s not possible to always find Anchors of Fog in God of War, yet there is a strategy to maximize one’s chances of discovering one during a workshop run.

To find Anchors of Fog in God of War, you must ensure that your pathing through Ivaldi’s Workshop is consistent, committing to head in a specific direction without winding about. Randomly searching the rooms might cause players to get lost, so they must choose a direction and stick to it, as Anchors of Fog are likely to spawn within dead-end rooms.

God of War Find Anchor of Fog

After picking a route, continue down the path until reaching a room that isn’t connected to any other pathways. God of War players can recognize these locations by the particular enemies that spawn within them. These rooms will generate high-level mobs such as Ogres and Revenants. Once Kratos has killed them all, a chest will appear with an Anchor of Fog. On the other hand, these dead-end chambers may also spawn a Valkyrie, so players must prepare for any challenging encounters.
