With Gotham returning this week after a short absence, it looks like we are in for one hell of an episode. From what we can gather from the press photos and limited information given, it appears that Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) will be reawaking from his conditioning. While I have enjoyed “nice guy” Cobblepot, I have been quite curious what are the circumstances that caused Penguin to turn. A dead father certainly seems like a reasonable solution, but I would guess this is the last we will see of the Dahl family. If we can be so lucky… Let’s just hope this is the last we see of them in Gotham City. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) continues the search for his killer though I can only hope Gotham doesn’t drag this out for too long. Nothing is honestly worse than when the audience knows a pivotal plot point before a character and refuses to clue the character in for a lengthy period of time. Unless it’s the entire premise of the show, ala Dexter, it really makes for frustrating television.  Hopefully, though, we get to see more crazy Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) as his character is honestly one of the more fascinating to watch. Make sure to check out our preview photos below for Gotham: “Into The Woods” – No relation to the musical, sadly.
