We are growing closer to the final few episodes of this season and hopefully Gotham can keep its momentum going. With Barbara (Erin Richards) out of Arkham Asylum, one has to be curious exactly what road she’ll go down. Obviously, it’s going to involve Gordon (Ben McKenzie,) but if she has fully healed mentally is the more important question Gotham has yet to answer. This is probably due to the show rushing her rehabilitation as it left basically no time at all for us to understand where she currently stands. Hopefully, the character doesn’t revert back to her ways in the first season, as her more crazed personality is far more fitting and enjoyable. It also seems that Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) will be coming back for a larger role this week. While he sadly has been circumvented to the background for the past few episodes, his character still has a ton of room to grow. This is, of course, thanks to Wong’s fantastic portrayal of the mad doctor. Finally, it appears as if Bruce (David Mazouz) will be continuing his trek to find out more about his parent’s past (because this story hasn’t been beaten to death yet…) How Gotham will exactly juggle all of these over-arcing stories will be interesting to see, especially given the show has had a bad habit of cracking underneath its own weight.
