Fighting fans and importers will have been playing Granblue Fantasy Versus for almost a month now and will have been having quite a good time from the sounds of it. For the rest of us, we have to wait until March 3 until we can play on our PlayStation 4’s.
Being developed by ARC SYSTEM WORKS means you should probably know what to expect, a decent 2D fighting game that looks great, plays great, and will almost always provide a challenge online. I say almost; there could be a chance you’ll match up with me online, and then there will be no challenge at all.
I will lose.
PC fans need not miss out, though, as Granblue Fantasy Versus has now been announced for PC via Steam with a launch date of March 13. That’s a mere ten days after the console release.
The PC version of Granblue Fantasy Versus will support the usual Keyboard and mouse or gamepad options of play and will include various graphical customization options. Two versions of the game will be available, and a vanilla edition will retail at $59.99 along with a character pass edition for $79.99.
As you’ll guess from the name, that edition will include extra DLC characters, 5 of them. It will also come with the character color pack DLC and the nice abs Vyrn lobby avatar.
As well as fighting versus will also include an RPG mode featuring a new story with action RPG gameplay and beautifully rendered cutscenes. If the above video is anything to go by, we should all be in for a treat.
It’s a game I’m looking forward to trying, and thankfully, I don’t have long to wait at all.
