By getting close to the Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5 release date, official info is spreading across the internet. The first thing that Activision has shared with us via the official Call of Duty Twitter is the return of Sargent Philip Graves in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5! This was one of the main antagonists of MW2‘s 2022 story mode. The news is surprising all the fans to hear that he’s alive. Task Force 141 has got some intel here; let’s dive into it!
Graves Is Back With Two New Characters in MW2 Season 5
Philip Graves, also known as Shadow 0-1, is the CEO of Shadow Company. A group of elite soldiers trained to obey and defend the Gold Eagle, AKA General Shepherd. Graves fights alongside Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros, only to follow General Shepherd’s orders. However, on a mission to find and destroy stolen American missiles, Graves reveals his true face.
In Modern Warfare 2‘s campaign mode, we learn that General Shepherd and the Shadow Company are the ones responsible for the missiles. But as Graves and Shepherd turn their back on Captain Price, Task Force 141 initiates an attack. As a result, Graves dies in a tank, or did he?

The new image in a recent tweet is what the official Call of Duty Twitter has revealed today. In this image, you can see Philip Graves standing beside two new operators. Whatever the case, Graves seems to be much alive in MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 5, and he doesn’t even have a scar on his face. But who are the other two characters?
The ones standing beside graves in this image are OZ and Mila. These two are also considered to be Shadow Company soldiers. However, they have never been in a Call of Duty game before. There’s also a look at the Zaya Observatory POI from Al Mazrah behind them, which means something will happen in that area in Season 5.
The Famous Famas Is Here
OG Call of Duty fans know an Assault Rifle named Famas a lot better. Back in 2009, the original Modern Warfare 2 introduced the burst-fire gun Famas. This weapon was also featured as a fully automatic one in Black Ops 1. But it returned in various Call of Duty games with different names.
The latest adaptation of this weapon was in Black Ops Cold War. This weapon was known as FFAR. The meta period of the FFAR Assault Rifle was famous in Verdansk due to this weapon’s low recoil and high damage. However, do you think the developers have forgotten such a beloved rifle? Of course not!
If you look closely at the Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 5’s cover image, you’ll see the Famas in OZ’s hands. The weapon’s name will definitely be different. Still, it is assumed that the firepower and fire rate of it remain intact. This weapon will be unlocked by completing a challenge or progressing through the MW2 Season 5’s Battle Pass.
