The latest Chop Shop update for GTA Online brought many new heists to the Scrap Yard property, and one of those you can get is The Gangbanger Robbery. This is one of the jobs that pay the most, and it takes a bit of planning before executing the long finale. Also, since we get three different heists each week, we recommend tackling this one as soon as possible. Whether you want to scrap the car, sell it, or park it in your Scrap Yard, this robbery is one you won’t want to miss.

How To Complete The Gangbanger Robbery in GTA Online: Chop Shop Update

If this is your first time jumping to the game or you are behind in all its properties, you must get a Scrap Yard before attempting this job. We encourage you to visit our guide on how to unlock Scrap Yards in GTA Online. Once you do, you’ll see a list of three heists you can plan and execute that change weekly, and if you got The Gangbanger Robbery, there are a few tasks to do before you can take the cash home, such as the following ones.

Starting the Heist

Once you purchase the Scrap Yard and see the initial cutscene, you must head to the property and choose The Gangbanger Robbery, assuming it is on your list, of course. After that, you’ll need to do some scoping before jumping into the action.

Scoping the Police Station

Like any other heist of this business, you need to scope the location first. For this job, you must help someone escape from the LSPD jail, who will then tell you where the car you must steal is. To do this, you must scope three areas of this building: the air vents, a police helicopter, and the rear entrance. Once you take all the pictures, you should be good to progress with the job. Here, we’ll list the order of how we did the preparation for The Gangbanger Robbery in GTA Online, but remember, the Chop Shop update allows you to tackle any prep mission in whatever order you prefer.

Stealing the Police Maverick

In our case, we decided to steal the helicopter first. First, you need to hack the Weazel News antenna to find a helicopter; once you find it, you must head to the location, which is a hospital. There are two approaches to stealing the vehicle. The first is the one prompted by the mission. You must climb the ladder next to the cop, but doing so will alert everyone at the location. However, the second one is easier. You head to the back of the hospital, climb the fire escape, and steal the helicopter. All you must do is lose the cop and deliver the vehicle to the location.

Securing the Tactical Gear

The second prep mission we did was pretty easy. You must steal Tactical Gear from the IAA building. To do so, you must infiltrate the place, defeat the enemies, and search the armored trucks. There are four trucks inside the building, and you must open the back doors to inspect them. Once you find the gear, climb on the van and drive it to your Scrap Yard.

Disrupt Equipment (Optional)

Police Officers

Like many other heists in the Chop Shop update of GTA Online, The Gangbanger Robbery also has an optional objective. If you do it, you must destroy police equipment to reduce the chance of cops having gas masks during the heists. We recommend doing this to decrease the amount of police officers inside the station. If doing it, though, you should bring another player and split up to destroy all the equipment.

Stealing the Getaway Vehicle

This is one of the missions you can grab from the map; no need to go to your Scrap Yard. To start it, you must head to Los Santos Customs and enter a garage to steal a getaway vehicle. There are several cars inside the garage. Here, we decided to steal the Buffalo because it looked nice and it was the fastest of them all. After you have the vehicle, you must stash it near the Police Station.

Acquire Stun Guns

Since Jamal wants us to do this job quietly and peacefully, we require stun guns. To obtain them, you must head to the golf club and find a police vehicle. Inside the trunk, you’ll discover stun guns that you can use to pacify police officers during the heist. Once you obtain them, head to your Scrap Yard.

Stashing Unmarked Weapons

Eventually, things will get hectic, and Jamal recommends stashing unmarked weapons outside of the Police Station. To do that, you must head to the Ammu-Nation near Elysian Island, grab a bag of guns, and stash it under a dumpster outside of the LSPD station. You have a small window to do so before the alarm goes off, so only send one player to do the job. After doing these prep missions, you’re good to execute the heist.

The Gangbanger Robbery Finale

King Tiny Escape

If you finished all the prep missions for The Gangbanger Robbery in GTA Online, return to your Scrap Yard and execute the job. Here are the objectives and some tips you should follow during the finale:

  1. Head to where the Police Helicopter is stashed.
  2. Fly to the Police Station and land on the roof. Prepare to stun the police officers on site.
  3. Throw the gas inside the air vents.
    • To make this easier, climb on top of them and drop the grenade inside.
  4. Enter the precinct and fight your way to the locker area to find the cell keys.
  5. Once you obtain the keys, head to the basement to free King Tiny.
  6. Exit the Police Station and grab the stashed weapons. You’ll get a 4-star wanted level.
    • To lose the wanted level, we recommend heading for the water canals in Los Santos and taking the underground tunnels.
  7. Once you lose the cops, head to the Airport to drop off King Tiny.
  8. Finally, head to the Ballas Hideout and steal the car.

Selling or Scrapping the Vehicle

We recommend selling the car as it pays $395,000.00, which is a fantastic amount of GTA$. Like other jobs, take the vehicle to the terminal without damaging it, and you’ll get paid.

Of all the jobs we’ve done, this is one of our favorites. The finale has a lot of stages that make the heist even more chaotic. Plus, it is always nice to infiltrate a Police Station to break someone out. Remember, the heists change every week, and you can only do three at a time. However, doing all of them should give you a bit more than one million, and you can tackle all of them in a day.
