An “expanded and enhanced” version of GTA V is coming to the PS5 in 2021.
Sony’s PS5 event kicked off with this news, adding that every PS5 owner would get GTA Online for free and that PS4 owners will receive $1 million in-game currency every month until the game makes the jump to the PS5.
Rockstar’s GTA V first launched in 2013 and it is somehow about to launch on its third generation of consoles. With Red Dead Redemption 2 releasing in 2018 and GTA V living on through the next-gen consoles, it seems unlikely that we’ll see news of a new Grand Theft Auto game anytime soon. This comes a few weeks after GTA V was made available for free on the Epic Games Store. It’ll be interesting to see the direction Rockstar Games goes in regards to their multiplayer titles.
