When GTA V arrived on the PC, it came with a host of new features. One of which being the Rockstar Editor. The Editor allows players to make a movie within the game and upload it to a social media site. Rockstar has announced that this feature is coming to the PS4 and the Xbox One in the next big update.
The Rockstar Editor for GTA V on the PS4 and the Xbox One was announced to be coming soon back in blog post in May, but nothing had been said about the feature since then. In a new entry on the blog that also celebrated the winners of the Ill Gotten Gains Editor Contest, Rockstar has revealed that the feature will indeed be included in the next big update for the PS4 and the Xbox One versions.
As a result, the next Editor Contest will also include console players.

Players will be able to make their own movies with the Rockstar Editor in GTA V.
“The upcoming launch of the Rockstar Editor for PS4 and Xbox One as the next update to Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online means the next Rockstar Editor Contest will be the first one with entries across all three platforms – so the creative competition will be fiercer than ever,” the developer wrote. “Stay tuned for info about that contest and forthcoming update.”
The Editor has seen some pretty great creations from the GTA V community. From original movies to recreations of TV show intros, nothing is left out of imagination.
As soon as a release date for the update is announced, we will share the information with you.
