Gwen Stefani had fans doing a double-take when they watched The Voice this week. During the battle rounds of the reality singing competition, viewers couldn’t help but notice how different Stefani looked, from her hair to her face and even her wardrobe. The No Doubt lead singer seemed to look unlike the Gwen of the past. Although many chalked it up to a “bad wig,” others think she’s going overboard with plastic surgery.
The Daily Mail reports that Gwen Stefani left some fans speechless this week during The Voice. During the show, Stefani traded in her usual platinum blond hair for warmer-colored locks. Her strands were noticeably longer and styled in loose waves that fell down her shoulders. She also sported bangs that fell across her forward and framed her face.
Stefani sported a colorful dress with a large sunflower pattern. She also opted to ditch her signature red lipstick in favor for a soft pink color. She added knee-high tan boots to complete her outfit.

“Gwen fire your stylist… that wig w/ the bangs does nothing at all for you,” one person stated.
“She’s had a plethora of surgery done. I like Gwen and she’s always been beautiful and very talented. I really hope that she stops now or slows down with the work, as she’s getting to be generic and Insta-looking,” another comment read.
“I think it’s something more than the wig…. Look at her face the plumpness and the smoothness. She’s had some work done and the fillers are out of control. She’s been really plumped out… I think the wig was a way to distract,” stated another critic.
“I don’t even recognize Gwen anymore. Between the bad wig and plastic surgery, she’s a new person. It’s sad to see her go down this path,” a fourth comment read.
Gwen Stefani has never spoken out about having plastic surgery procedures. However, doctor Richard Westreich previously told The Sun that the singer has likely spent more than $100,000 to tweak her face over the years. “She’s at that cusp and shouldn’t be wanting to look 40 forever and right now she already looks a decade younger than she is,” he told the outlet.
Of course, fans love Gwen Stefani then and now. Although she may have made some changes to her appearance, her talent has remained the same.
