Aly Raisman may have retired from professional gymnastics in 2020, but she hasn’t lost her skillset. In January 2022, the Olympic gymnast reminded her Instagram followers of her flexibility as she enjoyed an indoor workout, showing off a challenging leg stretch while joking that she’s “still got it.”
Delighting fans and also impressing fellow Olympian Simone Biles, Aly raised one leg high in the air from a yoga mat, injecting gymnastics elements into her Pilates workout while also checking boxes for a cute gym fit. The post has earned the Gold Medal winner over 78,000 likes.

Planting her palms flat on the yoga mat and using floor-to-ceiling mirrors to check her positioning, Aly kept her hips square as she rested her body weight on one knee.
Hiking up her other leg as she showed off her muscular frame, the former “Fierce Five” member rocked skintight, dark leggings, plus a stylish black crop top with criss-cross banding at the back. Highlighting her slim waist and sculpted shoulders, Aly gazed ahead as she rocked her brunette locks in a ponytail, completing her sporty look with a white pair of sneakers.
In an amusing caption, Aly wrote: “Still got it.”
Fans Don’t Think She Ever ‘Lost It’
Quick to reply was a fan telling the star: “Don’t think u ever lost it…”
Aly announced her official retirement from gymnastics in January 20200, although she last competed in the Olympics back in 2016. The Aerie ambassador has six Olympic medals to her name, including three Gold ones. Addressing fans as she made her 2020 retirement announcement, Aly said: “It’s true, I’m not going to be competing in Tokyo.” She also revealed:
“It’s so hard to get my head around the fact I competed in the Olympics twice – the past 10 years have been such a whirlwind and I haven’t really processed all that has happened and sometimes I wonder whether I ever will.”
The meditation lover continued that her life has been “fast-paced” before admitting that she can need to “remind myself to slow down, unplug from technology and take the time to appreciate what I’ve experienced and learned.”
Aly remains popular on Instagram, a feed that documents her promos, collabs, children’s book, and wellbeing routines. The latter include plenty of mindfulness and yoga, plus the star’s love of gardening and plants. Alongside being followed by gymnast Simone Biles, Aly is also kept tabs on by supermodel Hailey Bieber.
