Olivia Dunne tends not to garner criticism with her impressive gymnastics displays on Instagram, but this photo was an exception as fans raised eyebrows. On January 22, the LSU gymnast showed off her super-fit physique and her skillset while delivering a flexible floor stretch, but it looks like her tiny leotard wasn’t to everyone’s liking.
Flaunting her toned silhouette as she lay on her back while hiking one leg towards her head, Olivia gained points for her flexible display, but some users were sending the skimpy outfit a thumbs-down. Nonetheless, the American Eagle partner earned herself over 370,000 likes.

Photographed performing and concentrating on her move, Dunne made the most of the mat beneath her as she folded her left leg and extended her right one high and near her head.
Flaunting her impossibly toned legs and arms, the blonde modeled a skintight, metallic purple leotard with sheer aspects in parts, adding pops of gold into the one-piece. Sporting her light locks tied back into a bun, Olivia kept barefoot, although she did wear supportive white training socks.
Told Leotard Is ‘Too Small’
In a caption, the rising celebrity wrote: “Just kicking back relaxing…”
Gaining likes as they shamed the star for her outfit, one fan wrote: “Gymnastics is getting wild letting these leotards get as small as they are 🥴 we’d get deductions if we had a cheek out back in the day ☠️.”
Agreeing, a further fan said: “It is TOO SAD!!! And the gymnasts are purposely hiking it up to show more, esp @livvydunne.” Others, meanwhile, questioned if the image had been edited. “Photoshop goin brazy as always,” a fan said, with over 30 others agreeing. Olivia is known for showing off her sensational figure, having made major 2023 headlines for landing her Sports Illustrated Swim cover debut.
As to how she dresses and looks, Olivia has spoken out. In a reveal to Elle, the Instagram and TikTok star stated:
“It’s not a girl’s responsibility how a man looks at her or how he acts, especially when you’re doing your sport and that’s your uniform. I can’t help the way I look, and I’m going to post what I feel comfortable with.”
Continuing, she shared:
“It’s hard to handle at times, definitely, because I am just a 20-year-old student. I think people do forget that.”
Olivia is now 21 years old. She is the most-followed NCAA athlete on social media.
