Olivia Dunne is facing backlash on Instagram as fans accuse her of being famous for being “pretty.” The 21-year-old LSU gymnast is fresh from a post celebrating the 2021 NIL rule overturn, one finally permitting NCAA athletes to profit from their image or likeness.
Sharing a video that included her in her signature leotard look, Olivia reminded her 5.3 million followers of her toned figure and attractive features, but the haters just weren’t feeling it. As Dunne rakes in seven figures from her social media endorsements, users raised the question of her alleged “pretty privilege,” with the comment quickly gaining likes. As of 2021, Olivia is the most-followed NCAA athlete on social media. She also boasts 8 million followers on TikTok.

Placing a crown on her head as she winked at the camera while clad in her leotard in a separate moment, Olivia confessed “That’s the day my life changed.”
The video featured other athletes and came captioned: “Sooo excited to be part of the NIL documentary The Money Game. Premieres today on Amazon Prime.” Fans left Olivia love, but it wasn’t unanimous.
