Olivia Dunne has raised serious Photoshop allegations as an Instagram image of her celebrating her Times Square billboard photo shows her with an unusually thin and oddly curved arm. The LSU gymnast, 21, updated her account in late February to celebrate making it big in the Big Apple, but some of her fans were more focused on what they assumed to be some editing.
Posing in jeans and looking at the massive image of herself blown up on an NYC billboard, Olivia showed off her latest ad campaign for clothing brand Nautica. It also looks like the TikTok star is facing some questions over in the comments section. Despite the backlash, the post still earned Olivia over 400,000 likes, including one from Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin.
Olivia Dunne Shows Instagram Latest Career Win
Adding to her brand porftolio, one already including companies such as American Eagle, Vuori Clothing, and Plantfuel, Olivia celebrated her success by looking gleeful as she posed from Times Square and rocking figure-hugging jeans and a gray marl top.
Throwing up her fingers to point fans toward the billboard of herself modeling a sleeveless, nautical shirt, the gymnast sent out a little eye contact as she smiled and looked a little surprised, with fans seeing her tiny waist as she highlighted her latest win.
Rocking her blonde hair in a bun and returning for a snap where she appeared to be holding the billboard in her hand (via a little careful placement), Dunne wrote: “I think I know that girl from somewhere.”
Raising Questions Over That Arm
Quickly gaining likes, and with over 400 fans agreeing, was a user who merely wrote: “The arm” with a cry-face emoji.
“It curved around the bend of the building… trust me I’m not skipping arm day😭,” one fan replied. “It curves, that’s for sure,” another said, with another echoing the “arm” comment as they replied with more cry-face emoji. Others, however, appeared not to have noticed the possibly bizarre arm as they sent the New Jersey native their congratulations.
In a statement welcoming Dunne to the Nautica family, the brand said: “Livvy’s dedication to her craft and ability to inspire millions aligns perfectly with Nautica women’s sportswear– a line designed for women who are active, confident and embrace a lifestyle that seamlessly merges fashion with performance.”
The above photo, also promoting Nautica, was shared to Olivia’s Instagram on February 15. Showing off her toned legs in a colorful look, Olivia posted as a paid partnership with the lifestyle brand, but here, too, she faced backlash.
“I love how gymnasts have tried so hard to not be sexualized and then she pops into existence. She isn’t famous for her work, she’s famous for her body. Beautiful but not what we would like to see. (Except for the thirsty guys who think they will have a magical chance.),” a popular reply read.
