Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker’s rekindled romance has been under fire ever since they were spotted together in April. Since the ex-con had just broken up with her husband, Ryan Anderson, days before reuniting with her ex-fiancé, fans began questioning whether Blanchard was even in love during her marriage. She only faced further scrutiny when news broke that she and Urker had gotten back together amid her divorce. Despite the messy timeline surrounding her love life, Blanchard insists that she did see a future with Anderson.
In a new interview with People, Blanchard said she never could have predicted their divorce because she “did love Ryan.” After realizing they weren’t meant to be, Blanchard knew she had to make the difficult decision to end their marriage.
It’s heartbreaking, because no one gets married to get a divorce. Processing those emotions has been hard.

Behind Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson’s Breakup
Blanchard and Anderson wed when the reality star was still behind bars in June 2022. After the Munchausen syndrome by proxy victim left prison in December 2023, the pair began living together for the first time when Blanchard moved into Anderson’s Louisiana home. Unfortunately, that’s when their marriage fell apart. Following a huge argument, Blanchard announced she and Anderson had decided to separate in a March Facebook post.
If you’re wondering what went wrong, Blanchard told People she felt “lost” throughout her marriage. However, since ending things with Anderson, she has felt a new “sense of freedom.” Now that she’s learned to put herself first, Blanchard has been navigating life by following her heart. Apparently, what her heart has always wanted is her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker.
Although Blanchard initially denied having feelings for Ken Urker, she eventually realized she never stopped loving him.
He was a support when I was going through emotional hardship. But then I let myself open up to the feelings I’ve always had for him. For the first time in my life, I’m doing something that makes me happy — I’m prioritizing me.
