There have been a lot of debates happening in America recently including ones about Palestine and Israel. Many people believe that Trump’s administration is complicit in what is happening, which sparked protests all over the country. Now, there have been different ways of expressing anger. The most recent example took place in Harrisburg Airport in Pennsylvania. A hacker managed to take over the airport’s announcement system leaving travelers scared at what was happening. One of the people at the airport during that time filmed the message that was being broadcast. It was a pro-Palestine message that said, “[expletive] Netanyahu and Trump. Turkish hacker Cyber Islam is here.” If that is real, then it is terrifying that someone from Türkiye would be able to hack an airport in America.
The message being played in Pennsylvania kept going for about 10 minutes according to several people. It also included the phrase “free free Palestine.” The woman who shared the controversial video shared another update about how the Airport reacted. They took the passengers off the plane and made sure to sweep it just in case there was anything dangerous hidden there. She also said that she didn’t want to get back on the plane after what happened. Thankfully, everyone was safe and they ended up going to their destination without any trouble. It’s understandable why this was terrifying for some. If you’re at an airport, you would typically expect safety at all times. The airport being hacked right before your flight isn’t exactly something that would calm down your nerves.
People Reacting to the Message Broadcasted In Pennsylvania
A lot of people were terrified by the fact that the Pennsylvania airport was so easily hacked. Some were terrified by the content of the message itself. On the other hand, some of those who supported the message were also scared. “As cool as the message is, I would not be getting on that plane,” one person wrote. Another commented, “my thoughts exactly. No matter how much I may like the message, if it’s at an airport, then nope, nuh uh, no way.” One person also said that this message would only be scary to conservatives. “This would be super terrifying if i was a conservative,” they wrote. Not everyone agreed with this, as one woman replied and said, “At an airport regardless is insane. They aren’t moving quick enough for me- I would immediately think a terroristic attack was about to happen. I’d be running.”
Others focused more on the fact that the Pennsylvania airport was hacked. “I love thisssssssssss. However it’s terrifying they can easily hack [expletive] now,” one person wrote. Another person found a funny side to the situation as they wrote, “I loved the self promo ‘hacked by ___’ LMAO.” There was also one woman who actually believed that the person who did this was an employee at the airport rather than a hacker. “I doubt it was hacked.. probably an ESSENTIAL UNPAID employee,” she wrote. That would be a unique way to express their anger. Someone else agreed as they said, “This is the MAIN way ‘hacking’ happens. It is almost always domestic, and almost always an internal employee. That’s why in cybersecurity we say humans are your biggest risk – always, and forever. Lol.” Now, the airport needs to work on its security system.
