Since Halo: The master Chiefs rocky start to life, Microsoft have been trying to right their wrongs with the Halo collection on Xbox One. They have taken this one step closer today giving some early adopters of the game a code to download Halo 3: ODST or you can now download it through the Xbox Live Store.
Halo: The Master Chief had a very bad start to life when matchmaking and campaign wouldn’t work. Through endless patches and updates, it finally resembles a game, but it has left a very sour taste in people’s mouths. Microsoft told gamers that planed paid for explanation Halo 3: ODST would now be free but it never had a solid release date.
So you’d think with the release of Halo 3: ODST, it would be as clean as possible not to leave another sour taste in peoples mouths. However according to the early adopters they have had trouble downloading the game. Reports from NeoGAF and Reddit say the download is getting stuck at 99%. For people who have managed to download it, they are now stuck downloading an 8 gig update.
For the lucky few who have received the code and managed to install the heft download and update, they immediately went to see if the infamous Destiny Easter egg was still there, unfortunately 343 Studios who have made the new iteration have replaced the Destiny image.
With the newest DLC for Halo; The Master Chief Collections failing to have a smooth run does it leave you with concordance for the release of 343 Studios iteration of Halo later this year? We will have to wait until September for Halo 5 and to see if it has a rough start or if it will be a perfect launch. For more on Halo and all things nerdy, keep it here at The Nerd Stash.
