Microsoft has released a Halo 5: Guardians gameplay trailer, showing the moment Master Chief decides to go rogue.
Negative Infinity, I don’t like it.
We’ve known for a while that the hunter becomes the hunted in Halo 5, but this new trailer gives us a glimpse into more of the story aspects of the game. Colonies are being wiped out, the Guardians team struggles to find a way to end the rogue move by Master Chief.
The new trailer comes just two weeks before the game’s big release and is all rendered in-engine. The whole thing is gorgeous, form the sweeping landscapes to the small details on the spartan suits. There are some hints of the story beats as things unfold in Guardians, starting with a discussion between Dr. Halsey speaking and Spartan Jameson Locke. This appears to be the moment it all begins when the hunt for Master Chief and his crew kicks off.
Halo 5 recently went gold. We have that report for you right here, where you can also see some of the game’s details in a fancy infographic 343 Industries created. Among them, the 15 mission and 8-12-hour campaign length, as well as the always popular multiplayer getting a large 21 map rotation at launch.
Lock and load, and get your trigger fingers ready as Halo 5: Guardians hits the Xbox One on October 27th.
