Early Wednesday, October 7th, Halo 5: Guardians officially went gold. The Halo Waypoint announcement by 343 Industries does have a flip side as well, the company also indicated that there will be a significant patch coming on launch day. While this shouldn’t come as a surprise to most current-gen gamers, it’s really the only “sore spot” in the release. Below is an infographic 343 included in their post, showing a ton of great content on its way for the Halo 5 release.
Amongst the infographic numbers are some great tidbits of Halo news. Some of them range from a 15 mission campaign that could last from 8-12 hours to a large 21 multiplayer map cycle on launch day, and 18 more coming in the future. The day one patch will be linked to that multiplayer content, 343 states:
We will have a multiplayer content update, prior to launch, that will supplement the online multiplayer goodness with map content for Arena Multiplayer and our all new massive-scale 12v12 Warzone Multiplayer.
Just 20 days before launch, a Halo 5: Guardians that has gone gold is great news. Here’s hoping the update for multiplayer will help fix any issues that plagued the Halo: The Master Chief Collection last year. In any case, the game is less than three weeks away and with a ton of great content offline and online ready to be played, it’s an exciting time for Xbox One owners and Halo fans.
