Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoy an in-house dinner with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz despite having a strained relationship with the Beckhams. The Duke of Sussex reportedly once had a great relationship with former England Football captain David Beckham. Naturally, following Harry’s marriage to Meghan, their respective wives drew closer as well, with Victoria Beckham stepping up to help the duchess become accustomed to life in the UK. However, their friendship eventually took a dark turn after details about the Sussexes’ relationship with the Beckhams seeped into the headlines. Meghan strongly suspected Victoria of leaking the said information to the press, leading to an awkward phone conversation between Harry and his longtime friend to address the issue. However, their relationship continued souring from thereon with the seed of doubt and discord already sown.
As the friendship with Prince Harry dwindled, the Beckhams seemed to have better luck within the royal fold, as they’ve risen in ranks since their first move to their elite neighborhood. These days, David and Victoria have drawn closer to even the most senior royals like King Charles and Prince William. This has further heightened the feud with the Sussexes, making it even clearer that the Beckhams chose to stand with the monarchy over their former pals in the long-running royal feud. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seemingly got their chance for payback this week in the guise of a dinner in their lavish Montecito mansion.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Host David Beckham’s Son in Montecito
The estranged royals reportedly hosted Victoria and David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, in their Montecito Mansion. According to reports, the occasion was a group dinner that had other guests present, and the young couple did not directly receive an invitation from Harry and Meghan. A source close to the Sussex couple has clarified that while it appears so, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s dinner with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz was not an intentionally concocted move to spite the Beckhams. The source divulged,
“Brooklyn and Nicole were invited prior to David’s numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence.”
The source elaborated that several additional guests, including VIPs and Hollywood execs, attended the intimate gathering. Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola reportedly had a great opinion of Harry and Meghan at the end of the Montecito dinner, finding the couple “particularly kind, caring and generous.”
The Sussexes Slammed For Picking Sides in the Beckham Family Rift

Despite these attempts to clarify that the meeting had no hidden agenda, fans believe otherwise. Many suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle intentionally had Brooklyn and his wife grace their home, as a revenge against David and Victoria Beckham. One fan wrote,
“This is the pair of them and their never-ending list of holding grudges. A way to get back( in their small minds) at David for his friendship and support to KC & PW. And TW for her jealousy of Victoria.”
Another wrote,
“Narcissists like Meghan and Nicola don’t think long-term. On the contrary, they act impulsively. If this dinner actually took place, it’s initially a win-win situation for both women: Revenge on Victoria Beckham, to be exact. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. As long as both women have Victoria and David as enemies, they’ll get along well. This friendship is transactional, like any other of Meghan’s friendships.”
Several fans took a dig at Harry and Meghan for attempting to capitalize on Brooklyn Beckham’s fallout with his parents. They accused the couple of utilizing the Beckhams’ family rift to further turn the 26-year-old against his parents, making him another pawn in their game. One fan fired,
“This is so terrible. Interjecting yourself into another family’s drama. Just awful. Alienating everyone in their families wasn’t enough?”
A second wrote,
“To publicly take sides in someone else’s family problems? And she thinks this makes her look good?”
Harry and Meghan’s dinner with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz comes amid the younger couple’s reported beef with David and Victoria. News outlets previously reported that tensions existed between the 26-year-old, his wife, and the rest of the Beckhams. The couple has been noticeably absent from several of the Beckham family’s functions, including David’s recent 50th birthday celebration. Regardless, insiders remain positive that this fresh familial rift was not beyond repair. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain estranged from the royal family as they continue to navigate their post-royal lives in their wealthy Montecito neighborhood of California.
