With Loki coming to a close, Marvel fans have eagerly awaited news on the next series to hit Disney+, and that day has come. The newest Disney+ series, Hawkeye, has an official release date set for November,

In a recent interview with EW, Jeremy Renner (the current Hawkeye) commented on the plot for the Disney+ Hawkeye series where Clint will meet Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfeld) for the first time. “[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid, and she’s a big Hawkeye fan,” Renner tells EW. “She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life.”

In the comics, Kate Bishop takes up the mantle of Hawkeye after Clint Barton passes away. However, after Barton is magically resurrected, the two team-up.

Renner went on to comment about how he took on the role of mentor in and out of the show, “That was always my role. Outside of acting in the thing, I was protecting her and giving her the CliffsNotes on how it goes with this kind of filmmaking: Green screen, superhero life, all that stuff,” Renner says. “I just wanted to protect her because there’s a lot of physical stuff. She’s a wonderful actress, a wonderful human, and I can’t wait to see all the cool stuff that she’s able to do.

Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye has a release date set for November 24th, 2o21, and episodes will release every Wednesday.
