An Illinois man was labeled heartless after he called ICE on an immigrant family and then began talking about Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
The video was filmed by a bystander at the scene, which allegedly took place outside a Jewel-Osco store. According to the person recording, an immigrant family was working there when the man decided to call ICE on them. “This man is calling ICE on someone just trying to make a living,” the cameraperson said.
A woman from the family could be heard speaking in broken English, appearing to say that she would also call the police if the man contacted authorities. The man then turned his phone toward the person recording and began cursing at him. “This little [expletive] gremlin-looking [expletive] is gonna tell me what to do with my country,” he said. The person filming responded by laughing.
“Yeah, thank you Joe Biden for this,” the man said as he continued filming the person recording. The cameraperson responded in disbelief, asking, “Joe Biden?” The man then challenged him to name one Joe Biden policy he agreed with. “I didn’t like Joe Biden. I never said I liked Joe Biden,” the cameraperson replied. He then questioned why the man was bringing up Joe Biden in the first place, given the situation.
The immigrant family could be heard speaking Spanish in the background, although it was unclear what they were saying. The man continued talking about Joe Biden before asking the cameraperson whether he supported Trump’s tax-free overtime proposal. The cameraperson responded, “Do you agree with him deporting people just trying to make a living?” Rather than answering directly, the man continued talking about Trump. The video ended with the cameraperson telling him, “You making no [expletive] sense, dude.” It is unclear whether ICE ultimately responded to the scene.
