There’s a new update for Hellish Quart, and here’s the complete list of changes and fixes added with this patch. The physics-based, realistic, 3D sword dueling game has been around since 2021 and was met with plenty of excitement from the committee. The developer wants to offer players solid gameplay and supports the game with constant updates. The latest version, released a while ago, is not extensive, unlike the previous ones, but still, it will increase the gameplay experience. The patch notes of the Hellish Quart 2023.03.19.0 update are below.
Hellish Quart 2023.03.19.0 Update Patch Notes
Hellish Quart pre-alpha v.2023.03.19.0
TWEAK:
- Marta: significantly longer rapier
FIX:
- When a character is Grabbed, his sword damage detectors are instantly turned off, to prevent hitting the opponent in the middle of the Grab (which resulted in characters running around with their heads chopped off, etc.). This could have happened in a very specific situation, when the character was grabbed when his attack was still in the startup phase, but not yet in the active phase.
- Samuel: fixed a bug where his HEMA gear would not show up in Character Select Screen
- Arcade Game Over screen exits to Main Menu instead of the Character Select Screen
- Arcade dif. 4: Fixed the 7th opponent being the same as the 6th
Meanwhile, if you missed the previous version, you can check out its patch notes below.

- Marie: fixed a bug where she was still trying to aim the point at the opponent’s heart after her thrust attack got blocked

- Fixed a bug where a final hit audio effect was sometimes cut off in Training mode
- Alexander: fixed some second animations in a combo sometimes not detecting hits, after the first attack was blocked
- Marta: fixed a bug where thrust IK would turn off instantly when winning
TWEAK:

- Alexander: a bit slower attacks
- Alexander: a bit longer blade
