A man in Louisiana has gone viral on TikTok after openly admitting in a video that he is now romantically involved with his longtime friend’s ex-wife and has no intention of hiding it. According to him, his friend had left his wife for another woman, and that decision created a turning point he felt could not be ignored.
Seeing what he believed was an opportunity to pursue a relationship with the ex-wife, the man said he went directly to his friend and asked whether it would be acceptable for him to do so. The friend, however, did not take kindly to the question and responded that it was not.
Despite his friend’s clear objection, the man said he moved forward with the relationship anyway. In the TikTok video, he revealed that he had always wanted to be with the woman, even before her marriage ended, and that his feelings had only grown stronger over time. He also shared that the two were already making plans to spend Valentine’s Day together in a cabin in the mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
He Says the Relationship Was Years in the Making
In response to viewers’ questions in the comments, the man provided additional insight into how the relationship developed. He said he had been interested in the woman for more than two and a half years and had supported her long before they officially became a couple. According to him, he regularly complimented her, encouraged her creative work, and even purchased items from her Amazon wishlist while she was building her content-creation hustle.
While the man acknowledged that the situation might not appear ideal to everyone, he did not shy away from the moral complexity of it. “Two wrongs don’t make a right,” he admitted in the video. “But in this situation, we gonna be wrong until otherwise.” He then added, “At this moment, his ex-wife is the love of my life.”
When addressing the likelihood that his friend might find out through the video, the man appeared unconcerned. He even questioned why his friend should object in the first place, especially after having already moved on with someone else. “He found the love of his life with a woman that his ex-wife knew, so why can’t his ex-wife be happy with a man that he knows or knew?” he asked.
