As with most games, like Hogwarts Legacy, there is a difference between the Standard Edition of the game, and the Deluxe Edition. We’re going to discuss the difference between the two and take a deeper look into it. Most of the time, with the Deluxe Edition of games, you might get some in-game items that are exclusive to that edition of the game, or you might get a bit of early access time, or even exclusive quests.

There are different versions of both the Deluxe and Standard editions of Hogwarts Legacy. But first, let’s talk about the Standard Edition a bit. Within the Standard Edition of the game, you will receive the base game with very few add ons. If you’re pre-ordering the game, you can pick up the Onyx Hippogriff Mount and the Felix Felicis potions recipe or the Liquid Luck recipe. Additionally, if you are pre-ordering the game on a PlayStation, you will also receive the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest. The quest will be exclusive to PlayStation players for an entire year after the official release of Hogwarts Legacy.

The Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy offers a few extra options for players. If you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you get the same pre-order bonuses that you do with the Standard Edition of the game. However, in addition, you get 3 extra bonuses with the Deluxe Edition. First, you get the Dark Arts Pack, the Dark Arts Garrison Hat, and 72 hours of Early Access.

With the Dark Arts Pack, you receive a special Thestral Mount, which is the horse-like beast that appears in the beginning of the Order of the Phoenix that only Luna and Harry can see. You also receive the Dark Arts Cosmetic Set,  a dark and broodingoutfits complete with fake smoke and decorative skulls, and the Dark Arts Battle Arenl. In the Dark Arts Battle Arena, you will be able to battle all sorts of enemies with the Unforgivable Curses without having to unlock them prior.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
