Flying off the Shelves is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy that unlocks when you reach Level 2, and complete the Charms Class and Defense Against the Dark Arts Classes. You can pick it up by speaking to Cressida Blume, a student hanging out in the Central Hall of the Library Annex. Cressida says that carrying her books was too much work and she attempted a charm to make them fly, but lost control of them. Since the books that are lost include her diary, she hopes you will help her before anyone else has a chance to see it.

After you speak with Cressida Blume, she will tell you that her books have flown away on her and she needs help to retrieve them. Each of them will be found within the school’s Library, and you will have to collect a total of 5 of them. After you finish talking to her, it’s time to head into the library. You can do this by heading down the stairs to your left and through the red door.

Keep in mind that all 5 books won’t be in the same area, and you’ll have to go up to the second floor in order to collect a couple of them as well.

Flying Book 1

This book is found flying around in the central room of the library, where you first enter. To collect it, you’ll have to use the Accio Spell.

Flying Book 2

Both the second and third Flying Books can be found flying throughout the bookshelves in the Library. Using Revelio will help you to see each of the Flying Books through the bookshelves, making it easier to collect them. If you turn to your left, you can find the second Flying Book. Use Accio to collect it.

Flying Book 3

Like the Second Flying Book, the third can be found in the same area flying through the bookshelves. If you turn around from your location where you collected the second Flying Book, you will see the third Flying Book. Use your Accio Spell to collect it.

In order to collect the fourth and fifth Flying Books, you’ll need to head to the first floor of the Library. Here, you can also find the Flying Books flying around throughout the bookshelves. Use your Revelio Spell to find the Flying Books, then use your Accio Spell to collect them.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
