Absconder Encounter is another one of the many side quests you can learn how to complete in Hogwarts Legacy. In this particular side quest, you will be working with none other than the shop owner, Edgar Adley. He will explain his frustrations about his friend who decided to take on an acromantula so big that he called it the Absconder. However, when his friend took on the acromantula, he took a family heirloom in with him that Adley would like you to recover so that he can give it to his friend’s daughter. Keep reading to learn how to complete Absconder Encounter in Hogwarts Legacy.

Before you begin the quest, you will want to make sure that you are at least Level 32 and that you have already completed the Tomes and Tribulations Main Quest.

Talk with Edgar Adley

You can find Edgar Adley at his shop in Aranshire. When you speak with him, he will ask you to bring back his friend’s heirloom from the Absconder’s cave for his daughter, who just lost a father. He will tell you where to find the giant acromantula’s cave and send you on your way.

When you travel into the cave, it won’t be long before you encounter the massive acromantula. In order to enter the area where it is, you will have to cast a fire spell to get rid of more spider webs in your way.

Once you’re inside, defeating the Absconder isn’t too bad as long as you are close to the quest level. Be sure to dodge attacks as much as you can and use your stronger spells on it any chance you get.

She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
