As you venture through the world of Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll pick up various Side Quests along the way, like Troll Control. This quest can be picked up in Brocburrow from Alexandra Rickett. This one’s a bit of a challenge, as the quest is suggested for Level 13 witches and wizards, but the enemy’s level is quite a bit higher, even. Be sure to have a decent spell setup ready when you begin this quest. Keep reading to learn how to complete the Troll Control Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

Speak to Alexandra Rickett

First, you’ll need to head out to Hogwarts Valley and into Brocburrow, where you can find Alexandra Rickett. She mentions having a problem with a Troll and asks for your assistance with it. Alexandra Rickett can be found at the location shown above.

Go to the Troll’s Den

Alexandra will tell you where the Troll’s Den is and send you on your way. The Troll’s Den isn’t too far away, but make sure you are prepared to fight before you get on your way. The troll is quite strong and will take some extra attention to detail in order to defeat it. The Troll’s Den can be found at the location of the purple marker in the image above.

Defeat Alexandra’s Troll

When you approach Alexandra’s Troll, it’s important to keep in mind that you will need to use both Dark Magic and Ancient Magic in order to take it down effectively. Whenever you have the chance, cast your Ancient Magic. Otherwise, use your Dark Arts as often as possible and keep your finger on the Dodge button, as it’ll come in handy.

Return to Alexandra

After you’ve defeated the Troll, return to Alexandra to collect your reward of an Appearance item.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
