There are not so many differences between PS4 and PS5 of Hogwarts Legacy. Both console versions provide players with the same visual settings, game stories, and quest chains. In addition, pre-ordering the game on PS4 and PS5 will reward you with the same bundle consisting of the following rewards:
- Felix Felicis Potion recipe
- The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest
There are still several differences between Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 and PS5, and below we will list them and explain in detail about each of them.
Differences | PS4 | PS5 |
Date Release | April 4, 2023 | February 10, 2023 |
Cost | $59.99 / $79.99 | $69.99 / $79.99 |
Date Release Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 & PS5
As unfortunate as it may be for PS4 users, PS5 players will be able to enjoy the gameplay much sooner. If you’re playing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC, you’ll be able to enjoy the game as early as February 10, 2023. It’s no secret that new-generation consoles and PCs get all new releases before the rest, so there’s nothing to be done about it. If you’re playing on PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll have to wait until April 4 for the game’s release.
The cost is the last place on the list of differences. If you have one of the console versions, you are unlikely to buy a new console to save a couple of dollars on the game. However, this price difference is still present, and we cannot but mention it. As we said earlier, the Hogwarts Legacy standard edition will cost $69.99 on PS5 and $59.99 on PS4. The $10 difference is relatively reasonable because the game will not be as popular as on the release day. In addition, PS4 players have been waiting patiently and deserve a small discount. But if you decide to buy Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition, the price will be the same for both PS4 and PS5 – $79.99.
