Millie Bobby Brown makes a shocking revelation about her real name during an interview session with The Electric State costar Chris Pratt. The actress has been in the headlines a lot recently amid the promotional endeavors for her upcoming film, The Electric State, which hits streaming platforms on March 14. Starring the likes of Anthony Mackie, Bobby Brown, and Pratt and directed by End Game’s Anthony Russo, the film follows a rebellious orphaned teen who journeys through her dystopian world with her mysterious robot in search of her long-lost brother. Her journey saw her team up with a smuggler, played by Pratt and his sidekick, forging a close-knit bond that unites them even in real life.
Yet, not even their close bond could have prepared Chris Pratt for the shocking revelation that his co-star’s real name was not Millie Bobby Brown as the world has come to know her. The two graced an interview with BuzzFeed UK this week, where they discussed the upcoming film while partaking in fun activities.
Millie Bobby Brown Reveals Her Real Name in Interview

During a game, the pair were tasked with guessing each otherโs real middle names. Naturally, Pratt guessed that โBobbyโ was his co-starโs middle name. To his utter shock, the actress corrected him, noting that her actual birth name was โBonnie,โ while Boby was simply a stage name she adopted at the onset of her acting career. The 21-year-old added,
โIโve never told anyone that. You heard it here first.โ
With a look of confusion, Chris Pratt analyzed his co-starโs admission, voicing, โYour middle name is Bonnie, but you just changed it to Bobby forโฆโ
โSh-ts and giggles,โ Bobby Brown responded.
Caught by surprise, the Hollywood actor exclaimed, “Oh sh-!” matching his shocked expression. Fans had similar reactions to Millie Bobby Brown’s real name revelation, taking to social media to express their disbelief and surprise. Reacting to an excerpt from the interview shared on Instagram, one surprised fan wrote,
โOMG! This is insane to hear after following her for so long.โ
Another commented,
โBillie Bobby Bonnie Bonjovi is now my favourite tongue twister to warm up my voice.โ
A third tried to make sense of the revelation, saying,
โSo her full name is Millie Bonnie Bobby Bongiovi Brown, her birth name is Millie Bonnie Brown, Her stage name is Millie Bobby Brown, and her current legal name is Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi?โ
Another fired,
โHer whole life is a lie and she knows it.โ
A fifth added,
โShe really said Iโm gonna make headlines this press tour.โ
Brown Hits Back at Her Appearance Critics
Notably, Millie Bobby Brown has made quite an impression this past week as the release date of her film, The Electric State, draws closer. While attending the Los Angeles premiere of her film last week, the actress raised brows with her appearance in a flowing mermaid dress with sequined details and her blonde hairdo, with many noting that she looked over a decade older in the makeover. Little Britain’s Matt Lucas led the slam campaign, likening Bobby Brown’s appearance to a “mommy makeover.”

The actress showed her disdain for the widespread criticism of her โmatureโ appearance, taking to Instagram to slam critics, including the Little Britain star. In her heated post, Brown pointed out how disturbing it felt to have a โgrown manโ and โadult writersโ criticize a young girlโs appearance, deeming it an act of bullying.
Following her clapback, Lucas took to social media to apologize for his “criticism” of Brown, explaining he never intended his words as an attack on her appearance. He explained that his “Mommy Makeover” comment was simply a reference to a character on his sketch show Little Britain, which he co-wrote and appeared on nearly 25 years ago. According to him, the character, Vicky Pollard, had blonde hair and always donned a pink top, just as she did at the 2025 SAG Awards, and his comment was simply a reference to one of the character’s catchphrases, which was his means of pointing out the similarity.
While Lucasโ apology set things straight to some extent and provided context for his scathing remark, the ripple effect it had across the internet last week canโt be undone, as it spurred countless articles targeting Brownโs appearance.
