Even though Holocure is a fan-made project, it has quite a lot of interesting features, characters, and items. The latter can significantly strengthen you or give you new abilities. But some items, like Halu, on the contrary, make your survival in Holocure more difficult. However, this may only seem so at first glance. In reality, this glass of water offers players a challenge in exchange for a huge amount of HoloCoins.
How To Unlock Halu
Like most items in Holocure, Halu is unavailable from the start of the game. Therefore, you need to survive in stages to unlock it. Fortunately, you won’t have to complete difficult conditions and challenges. Just fight until you defeat 5,000 enemies in one run. After this, any of the characters will be able to pick up Halu in Holocure. It’s also worth noting that dying with Halu in your inventory will unlock another item called GWS Pill.
How Does Halu Work in Holocure?
Halu makes it harder for players to survive in Holocure by increasing the spawn and strength of all enemies. In exchange for this increase in difficulty, players can earn bonus HoloCoins for killing enemies. And the higher the level of the item, the more difficult the challenge and the greater the reward.
| 1 Level | Enemies spawn more often and become 5% stronger. In exchange, you earn HoloCoin for every 5 enemies you defeat. |
| 2 Level | Enemies spawn more often and become 15% stronger. In exchange, you earn HoloCoin for every 4 enemies you defeat. |
| 3 Level | Enemies spawn more often and become 25% stronger. In exchange, you earn HoloCoin for every 3 enemies you defeat. |
| 4 Level | Enemies spawn more often and become 33% stronger. In exchange, you earn HoloCoin for every 2 enemies you defeat. |
| 5 Level | You better not even try. |
It’s also worth noting that you will only receive bonus HoloCoins for enemies you defeat after equipping the Halu item in Holocure. However, even if you upgrade the item to level 4 at the end of the stage, you will receive as many coins as if you picked up level 4 Halu from the very beginning. In other words, the Coin Bonus is applied at the end of the match and is not counted separately for each level.
The same applies to the enemies. As soon as you upgrade the Halu item, all enemies on the field increase their stats. So be careful.
