A previous rumor claiming that Homelander from The Boys will appear as a guest character in Mortal Kombat 1 has now been confirmed. The official TikTok account for The Boys has confirmed this rumor to now be true, claiming that Homelander will simply be available in the game at some point. NetherRealm Studios has not made any official word on Homelander’s inclusion in the game, though more information is expected to be shared in the coming months.

A listing on Amazon Italy from earlier this year circulated the rumor that Homelander would be available as a guest character in Mortal Kombat 1. He would be one of the 6 characters in the season pass. It listed Homelander alongside several other supposed guest characters, including such choices as Omni-Man from Invincible and Peacemaker from the DC Universe.
The Amazon listing also teases five unannounced Kameo characters, which are a special class of character that are able to appear as assists during matches. These include Tremor, Khameleon, Mavado, Ferra, and Johnny Cage. There is a possibility that the inclusion of Johnny Cage is purely for his Jean-Claude Van Damme skin that is available in the game.
While the latter two have not been directly confirmed, the official confirmation of Homelander for Mortal Kombat 1 makes their inclusion much more likely. Vought International Studios did not specify if Homelander would be available upon the game’s launch. The post simply stated he would be available at some point, implying he will either be added as part of the paid DLC package.
