The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost here. Many of us have been enjoying the epilogue to Amphoreus’ arc, and even a bit of Penacony to further wrap things up. However, after a long wait, we now know where our next stop will be: Planarcadia. That’s right. Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 is right around the corner, and HoYoverse is once again kicking off this major update with several rewards, including a free 5-star character, a free outfit for one of the best Harmony users, and many more things.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 Launches on February 13

Version 4.0 Trailer: "No Aha at Full Moon" | Honkai: Star Rail

Today, HoYoverse premiered the Special Program of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0, “No Aha at Full Moon.” This time, we’re traveling to Planarcadia to participate in the Phantasmoon Games to become an “Aeon for a Minute.” Moving away from the Remembrance and other Paths, this time, Elation will take the stage, and not only in story matters, but also gameplay-wise.

The main gimmick of the Path of Elation is accumulating “Punchline” to eventually reach “Aha Moment,” which will buff different abilities depending on the character. To try this new Path out, we’ll have two new characters, with Yao Guang debuting first. She follows the aforementioned Path and wields the Physical element, with her gameplay revolving around restoring skill points to allies, but also damaging foes. Then, we’ll have Sparxie, another 5-Star Elation character, wielding the Fire element. Contrary to Yao Guang, Sparxie is all about consuming skill points to increase everyone’s damage during Aha Instant.

Black Swan, Evernight, and Hysilens will join Yao Guang for the first half, while Sparkle, Cerydra, and Rappa will accompany Sparxie in the second phase. Also, Black Swan and Sparkle will get combat buffs, further increasing DoT damage capabilities and sharing buffs to Elation teams, respectively.

Speaking of things coming for a 5-star character, Ruan Mei will get a new outfit for free, and among the many freebies in the update, Trailblazers will be able to claim a 5-Star character. The selection includes Jing Yuan, Kafka, Imbibitor Lunae, Jingliu, Sparkle, Acheron, and Aventurine. Other rewards coming to Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 include 1,600 Stellar Jade, the first outfit for the Trailblazers, and accessories for our protagonists.

Of course, we will also get several updates to existing content, such as Currency Wars getting its first expansion and Divergent Universe receiving even more content. And that’s without mentioning the many events that will be available during this Version, ranging from our fast-paced combat ones to a few more slice-of-life-like.

In any case, it is exciting to know the next Trailblazing journey is upon us. All we can do now is wrap up everything we have in Amphoreus and Penacony and prepare for Planarcadia, which will be another year-long adventure for the Astral Express.
