The Era Nova and the Holy Grail War Arrive on Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4

A new dawn

After the heartbreaking cliffhanger of Version 3.3, Honkai: Star Rail is ready to unveil the dawn of the Era Nova in 3.4, alongside the long-awaited Fate collaboration. Today, HSR hosted its Special Program for the upcoming version, and it was one of the best. Phainon, the Deliverer, is finally becoming playable, and by the looks of it, he will be one of the best characters we’ve seen in Amphoreus. Beyond that, we’re getting one Fate character for free, a lot of reruns, and, as usual, many events. So, it is time to wrap things up with the last Chrysos Heirs and prepare for a new day in Amphoreus.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 Launches on July 2

Version 3.4 Trailer — "For the Sun is Set to Die" | Honkai: Star Rail

If you missed the Special Program, we’ve attached the trailer for Version 3.4, “For the Sun is Set to Die,” which will arrive on Honkai: Star Rail on July 2. For those who’ve been hooked on the story, the new main quest will put Phainon in the spotlight as he looks for a way to start Era Nova. However, one important event will take place in Penacony. The Holy Grail War, which is the Fate/stay night (Unlimited Blade Works) collab. While there’s still time before the update gets here, we recommend doing the 3.3 story as soon as possible because it is quite lengthy, yet one of the best we’ve had since Version 2.2.

Phainon, Archer, and Saber Join the Roster

We’ll have three new characters in this version, starting with Phainon. He arrives as a 5-star Physical character following the Path of Destruction. Phainon’s gameplay is unlike anything we’ve seen before. He will collect Coreflames during the fight. After obtaining a specific number, he can unleash his Ultimate, which removes all other teammates from the battle momentarily. Alongside him, we’ll also see reruns for Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle. All three characters are amazing supports. If you don’t have any of them, you should consider pulling for at least one.

Archer

For those waiting for the Fate collab, this one will launch on July 11 and will feature Archer and Saber. The former will be obtainable for free, by the way. Archer is a 5-star Quantum character following the Path of the Hunt. And yes, he says the iconic “I’m the bone of my sword” lines for his Ultimate. Saber is a 5-star Wind character who follows the Path of Destruction and brings the iconic Excalibur to the fight. According to the Special Program, the collab event will remain in the game, even after Version 3.4. So, if you want to get Phainon first, you can do so without missing your shot at Saber or more Archer Eidolons. And speaking of Archer, players can obtain his signature Light Cone after spending 200 Star Rail Special Passes on any banner.

Last but not least, Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade will arrive in the second half. This is an excellent time to try the new combat enhancements for the last two characters. Remember that Kafka and Silver Wolf are also getting combat updates.

Beyond that, Version 3.4 brings many events and features to Honkai: Star Rail. The new “skip dialogue” feature is coming. However, I don’t recommend using it because the story is one of the best things about HSR. Besides that, the Candy Crush-like event, Origami Bird, will return.

Overall, Version 3.4 looks like yet another great update for Honkai: Star Rail. So, if you’ve been away, there’s still plenty of time to finish the current events and save all the Stellar Jade of Version 3.3 because, by the looks of it, we’ll all need it.
