This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Phantylia is the new boss who joins the Echo of War roster inย Honkai Star Rail. She arrived withย the 1.2 versionย and brought many new mechanics that might be challenging for some players. Many gamers will likely face her every week to farm for different materials and finish their missions. However, it can be pretty challenging, depending on the team you have. With various weaknesses and phases, bringingย ideal party membersย is vital. That is why we’ve prepared the best guide to defeat Phantylia inย Honkai Star Railย for all players.

If you’ve played the story already, you faced Phantylia in Honkai Star Rail. We won’t spoil too much from the story here, but she’s a big baddie in the Xianzhou, causing chaos. With some of her plans thwarted, for now, she’s become a permanent boss in the Echo of War activity. While the story provided players with extra help, facing her in this instance will be much more challenging. That’s why we’ve prepared a strategy to take her on.

Best Team Compositions

Before we delve into the mechanics and things you must do in each phase, let’s check the best team compositions. For this fight, you must bring a healer, two DPS (one of them AoE focused), and one support. We’ll break down compositions for Free-to-Play players and those with Premium characters.

F2P Basic Team

  • Main DPS: Dan Heng
  • Sub-DPS: Serval
  • Support: Yukong
  • Healer: Natasha

This composition relies on making party members attack as quickly as possible. Dan Heng focuses on Phantylia, while Serval focuses on the Lotus flowers. Yukong is there to speed up attacks and Natasha to heal everyone. Before trying this composition, remember to get a free Yukong through the Forgotten Hall in case you don’t have her.

Imaginary Premium Team

  • Main DPS: Welt Yang/Blade
  • Sub DPS: Dan Heng
  • Support: Yukong/Bronya
  • Healer: Luocha/Bailu

This team won’t fail, as it covers all of Phantylia’s weaknesses. You must add Welt Yang or Blade as the main DPS, as he can debuff and deal vast amounts of damage. Dan Heng is there to focus on the boss again, while the rest of the characters are there to provide support. If you have any of the characters above, you can mix and match until you find the right composition. If you have it ready, let’s move on to every phase of the fight.

The boss fight of Phantylia in Honkai Star Rail has three phases. Each one adds new mechanics that will challenge players in many ways. Besides that, the weaknesses of this boss change depending on the phase, which is why it’s imperative to be prepared before facing her. Let’s break down each phase.

Phantylia the Undying Phase

This phase is pretty straightforward, as Phantylia won’t do much damage. She’ll summon Abundance Lotus, which removes skill points from the team. The objective is to destroy the Lotus with your AoE characters to avoid losing skill points. If you defeat the Lotus, you’ll get three skill points back. The overall strategy here is to send a character for a Lotus while the others focus on the main body.

Destruction Phase

This phase becomes harder as Phantylia does a new AoE attack that will take away a massive chunk of your party’s health. Plus, the new Destruction Lotus won’t have weaknesses until they bloom. During the fight, the Lotus will debuff party members, reducing the healing they can receive. The best strategy here is to focus on the main body and wait for the flowers to bloom to take them out. In this phase, the Lotus flowers aren’t too dangerous if you are fast enough. However, the final phase is more challenging.

In this phase, Phantylia will summon four Lotus, two of Destruction and two of Abundance. You must focus on the Abundance Lotus first to get skill points back. When the Destruction Lotus flowers bloom, take them as fast as possible, or you could lose the character it targets. After that, focus on the body, like the second phase, and attack the Destruction Lotus whenever possible.
