Today, we got a fantastic surprise from HoYoverse. While it is no surprise the team behind Genshin Impact and the recent Honkai game is great at doing videos to hype people, we weren’t expecting a new one after the release of version 1.3. In a recent promo video, Honkai Star Rail finally gave us the first look at Topaz, a 5-star character who hails from the Path of the Hunt and wields the Fire element. While many have already seen her in certain Light Cones, it is great to see her in-game model and a teaser of what she might do in the upcoming updates.
Honkai Star Rail Unveils Topaz in New Promo Video
If you didn’t know, recent leaks showed Jingliu and Topaz as possible characters for the 1.4 version of Honkai Star Rail, and this new promo video might’ve confirmed it. This video shows the journey we’ve taken so far in the game’s two planets, but we also got a new look at Jingliu and Topaz. The former already had an animated short, but the latter didn’t have anything until today. Due to this, people are excited as Topaz is the first Fire character who comes from the Path of the Hunt and will definitely bring some interesting gameplay changes.

While the release date of these characters is still a mystery, we’re glad HoYoverse is already teasing us. We hope the wait won’t be long, as we’re already in the second phase of version 1.3. Said phase saw the debut of Fu Xuan, one of the game’s best tanks and characters. She is a must-pull for anyone who has enough Stellar Jade; however, Jingliu and Topaz are also great, which means players are in for a grind or should prepare to spend money on this gacha game. We hope the developers will give us more news about these new potential party members in the coming weeks.
