Guerrilla Games has just announced that 2022’s Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PC in March. The game was originally exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but like its predecessor Horizon Zero Dawn, it is making its way onto PC now. The PC version is called Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition and includes many improvements over the original console release.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition comes with the Buring Shores DLC expansion included. It was a fairly sizable increase over the main game and offered new mounts that opened up the game. You can check out the trailer and all the features in the PC version below:
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition Coming To PC
Sony’s PC ports have been fairly impressive, considering what the PC market wants out of AAA games. And being a PC release, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition also has high-resolution support along with ultrawide monitors. It also provides direct storage support for those snappy load times on PlayStation 5.
The game will support every AI upscaling option under the sun. So whether you’re using Nvidia’s DLSS 3, AMD’s FSR, or even Intel’s XeSS, you’re in luck. This should allow people with older hardware to run the game at a modern resolution without taking much of a hit to the visuals. The frame generation feature with DLSS 3 and FSR should make playing on high refresh rate monitors a lot easier.
Being a Sony game, it had support for DualSense haptics at launch. And that will also be carried over to the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition if you don’t want to play using a keyboard and mouse.
Horizon Forbidden West is already available on PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The Burning Shores DLC expansion is only available on PlayStation 5. The Complete Edition will be available on PC on March 21, 2024.
