Horizon Forbidden West was a fantastic game that pushed the hardware of Sony’s latest console to its limits. Even if it initially had some pop-in issues, everything got fixed, and it is one of the best titles for the PS5. With many players getting to play it for free on PS Plus, the hopes for the upcoming DLC are high. We all know that the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West is nigh, and its file size has been revealed. It’ll be heavier than the expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn, that’s for sure. This is good as it means we’ll get much content to sink some hours in.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC has a file size of 16 GB
If you don’t have a lot of space on your PS5, you should make some. The DLC has a file size of 16 GB in addition to the other 90 GB that the main game uses already. Yes, it is a hefty game, but it is worth installing. The last time we saw a single-player game of this size was when Red Dead Redemption 2 launched, boasting a fantastic open world.

The file size for the Burning Shores DLC of Horizon Forbidden West isn’t too crazy, given how beautiful the game is. If you’ve watched the trailer, you already know Aloy is heading to post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. If the setting resembles everything Guerrilla Games has done, we’re in for a treat. We can’t wait to get our hands on this expansion to see what new machines Aloy will face. Besides, many hope this new content will reveal what’s coming for the franchise. We already know the Horizonverse will get bigger with a TV series, an MMO, and more. Let’s hope that this DLC brings even more success so we can continue to get more adventures with Aloy.
