When people are called out for the downright vile way they treat others, it’s hilarious to see them clam up. After all their barking, they reveal themselves cowards. In doing so, they’re basically saying they know the way they treated you was out of line. A Texas hotel front desk worker clammed up and refused to repeat himself after he allegedly said some rude things to a guest. The back-and-forth that ensued made things very awkward, indeed.

Posted by @elvie6118 on TikTok, who said, “My son got sent to Dallas from his company he works for and he was trying to check into the hotel his company got for him.” She claims that this was her son’s “first time dealing with racism.” The video starts off with her son asking, “What did you say? Say what you just said” but the older white hotel worker doesn’t seem to want to answer. The man asks, “You said ‘don’t f**k with you, right? Repeat yourself. Oh, now you’re scared cus’ you’re on camera.”

The hotel worker then points up at the camera, to which the recorder asks, “Do ya’ll record the audio?” and the worker says, “Absolutely.” The son then says he needs to speak to “who’s in charge of you” to show the recording.

It’s obvious from the back-and-forth that something was said and it sat wrong with the man recording. The recorder then goes on to say he was denied being checked in and asks, “Is it because I’m Hispanic?” but the worker continuously denies it.

Of course, commenters were divided over the video. Some claim there wasn’t enough racism at work in the video. Others claim the worker was being so silent because he was clearly ‘guilty.’

Another shared her own story, “Texas is HELLA racist, I went there for a work trip and was in an affluent white area, that man couldn’t stop staring at us, bc we were a group of mostly colored individuals, especially me bc I took the lead on the transaction.”

Somebody else declared, “Trump got ‘them folks’ thinking they’re invincible, when called out they turn feeble.” It is true that most racists are not up for a confrontation that could lead to violence. But, they’ll sure talk a big talk leading up to it.
