Blood, fire, dragons, and the broken-hearted are just a few of the things coming to House of Dragon season 2. After much waiting, HBO has finally graced us with a new peek at the upcoming episodes of this original show based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood. With the nail-biting cliffhanger we got last time, it’s nice to see House of the Dragon pulling out the big guns dragons from its source material for the second season. So, whether you’ve shelved this series for a while or need a refresher, now’s the time to jump back into Westeros.

House of the Dragon Introduces New Cast Members For Its Second Season

Alongside a brand-new trailer for House of the Dragon season 2, we also got confirmation of new and returning cast members. Among the returning actors, we have Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, and more. As for new members, we have the following:

  • Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull
  • Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers
  • Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower
  • Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong
  • Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull
  • Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome
  • Kieran Bew as Hugh

  • Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark
  • Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne

If you’re not familiar with the source material, I won’t spoil things, but from what we saw in the trailer, the second season of House of the Dragon will be hectic. This time, the family drama has blown out of proportion thanks to the events of the first season’s finale, and war is coming for everybody. So, if you were hoping to see more about the downfall of the Targaryen, which leads to the events of Game of Thrones, tune in on June 16, 2024, at 9:00 pm (PT) to see what’s in store for Westeros’ hottest family.
