The 81st Venice Film Festival will be free from drama between exes Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. It is no news that the once-power couple are now warring exes. They have been embroiled in a nasty divorce battle for over seven years. However, none of that tension will be on display at the prestigious movie event.
The organizers of the film festival reportedly took extra precautions to ensure that Jolie and Pitt wouldn’t have any interaction. Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera said the team ensured that the estranged couple’s schedules didn’t overlap. “Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday [Aug. 29], and she will leave right after with [‘Maria’ director] Pablo Larraín” for the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado,” Barbera revealed to Vanity Fair. As for Pitt, he will show up to the festival days later.
“So Brad will arrive only on Saturday, to Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido.”
According to sources, Jolie and Pitt didn’t have any influence on the neat arrangement. “Neither asked for that, they were wise enough to realize,” the insider told Page Six. Although they were declared legally single in 2019, the exes are still viciously fighting over their shared French winery, Château Miraval.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie War Over Son Pax’s Accident
Details about the exes’ schedule at Venice comes weeks after they reportedly warred over their son, Pax Jolie-Pitt’s bike accident. The 20-year-old was involved in a severe traffic collision while riding his e-bike in a heavy traffic area on Los Feliz Boulevard. Unfortunately, Pax wasn’t wearing his helmet so he suffered a head injury that landed him in the ICU. He, was however, discharged days later. “Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy,” a source said.
Following Pax’s release, Jolie and Pitt are reportedly pointing fingers at one another. A source claims the Salt actress allegedly blames her ex for not setting a good example for their son. The Fight Club star, on the other hand, thinks Jolie didn’t do her job as primary parent to educate their son about dirivng a bike on the highway. No one wants to bend for the other.
