  • How Does Electrical Circuits Work?

Unfortunately for the game’s protagonists, after an accident, they end up stranded on a remote island without all the comforts of urban life. But Sons of the Forest players can find ways to restore one of the most significant modern necessities, electricity, and create electrical circuits. Both provide light to the dark island and protection by making a very effective electric fence against mutants. Just because you’re on a godforsaken island doesn’t mean you must live like a troglodyte.

To have electricity in your base, you must first collect certain items to maintain your energy supply. Always look in the crates you find when exploring bunkers, camps, plane crashes, or cannibal villages. The materials you need are:

  • Solar Panels
They are one of the crucial elements because they provide the energy necessary to obtain electricity. They can also store a certain amount of electricity.
  • Golf Cart Batteries
As the name says, they are batteries that provide energy for the circuits. You can use them if you don’t have solar panels or if they run out of energy, especially at night.
  • Wires
Fortunately, wire is easy to find because it is essential to creating an electrical circuit in Sons of the Forest. Keep an eye out for wire bundles or loose cables lying around.
  • Light Bulbs

  1. Build a structure
You can build a basic frame with logs and put planks on the roof to be the base for the solar panel. Or, if you have your base ready with an angled roof, you can also put the solar panels there despite the inclination.
  2. Place the solar panel
Place the wire following the arrows on each log to place the wire and connect it to the solar panel or golf cart batteries. You can also attach wire wrapped around your fences to make an electric fence. Maintain the panels in an area without shade.
  3. Place the light bulbs
Place the light bulbs on the wire, already connected, near the areas you want to illuminate. You can put several bulbs on the same electrical circuit.

You can create a network of light sources, illuminating a larger area or more electrical fences. Just make sure you have enough wire to connect and have enough power. If you have many light bulbs or several electrical fences on a single circuit, and it doesn’t work, you may need to connect more batteries or solar panels. Also, you can create independent and distant electrical circuits in Sons of the Forest since they do not use the same electricity supply.
