By now, you probably already have your rodeo in other games with gacha systems. Many of them stick to similar mechanics, mainly those of character rarities. As soon as you pull, you know you’ll either get a 4-star or a 5-star. However, character rarity works a bit differently in Arknights: Endfield, as the Operators go from 4-stars, all the way to 6-stars. In truth, this shouldn’t be a shocking thing. Yet, some players might see this and wonder what the big difference is between a 5-star character and a 6-star character in Arknights: Endfield. Well, we’ll explain how those rarities work here.
Character Rarities Explained
As we said, character rarity in Arknights: Endfield comes in the form of 4-star, 5-star, and 6-star Operators. This might be a bit confusing for some players who are only used to the first two, but the truth of the matter is that it is almost the same.
In short, 4-star characters are your 3-star characters of other games. 5-stars are your 4-stars, and so on. However, at least during the launch of Arknights: Endfield, it seems that the playing field is a bit more leveled, allowing 5-star characters to be as competitive as those with a 6-star rarity.
Contrary to other games, at least during the launch period, Arknights: Endfield seems to have a bit more balance when it comes to the rarest characters and those one rank below. In a way, there doesn’t seem to be a “must-have Operator” meta right now in the game. Still, this could change as more banners become available and new 6-star Operators join the roster.
All Current Characters and Their Rarities
If you want a quick list of all characters in Arknights: Endfield right now, as well as the rarity of each one, here’s a list:
- 4-Star Operators
- Akekuri
- Antal
- Catcher
- Estella
- Flourite
- 5-Star Operators
- Alesh
- Arclight
- Avywenna
- Chen Qianyu
- Da Pan
- Perlica
- Snowshine
- Wulfgard

- 6-Star Operators
- Ardelia
- Ember
- Endministrator (MC)
- Gilberta (Upcoming)
- Laevatain (Current Limited Banner)

As we said above, all 5-stars are competitive, but in the end, a 6-star Operator will perform better in certain roles. We’ve already made a tier list for the launch version, so if you want to see who is doing better during patch 1.0, remember to check it out. If you don’t mind the meta and just want to collect them all, then pull to your heart’s content and hope you get that elusive Operator.
