The Autodidact Perk is the Unique Perk of the Adam Francis Character, but how does the Autodidact Perk work in Dead by Daylight? That’s what we’re here to find out! In the game, most of the characters have a Unique Perk, and the Autodidact Perk is held by none other than Adam Francis, the Survivor that was introduced in Chapter 9: Shattered Bloodline. The Autodidact Perk allows you to obtain stackable Tokens that each gives you a progression bonus for each successful attempt at a Good Skill Check while healing a fellow Survivor. Dead by Daylight: How Does the Autodidact Perk Work?
When you begin your game with the Autodidact Perk active, you will begin with a -25% Progression penalty when it comes to the Skill Checks required to heal fellow Survivors. However, that doesn’t mean it stays that way. Throughout the game, ever since you get a successful Skill Check while you are healing another Survivor, you will receive a Token. Now, Tokens can be stacked, but you can only stack them up to a maximum of 5 Tokens. Below, you can find the bonuses for each Token added:
- 1 Token
- +15% Progression for Skill Checks to heal Survivors
- -10% Total Progression Bonus
- 2 Tokens
- +15% Progression for Skill Checks to heal Survivors
- 5% Total Progression Bonus
- 3 Tokens
- +15% Progression for Skill Checks to heal Survivors
- 20% Total Progression Bonus
- 4 Tokens
- +15% Progression for Skill Checks to heal Survivors
- 35% Total Progression Bonus
- 5 Tokens
- +15% Progression for Skill Checks to heal Survivors
- 50% Total Progression Bonus
Keep in mind that you cannot perform Great Skill Checks while you are using Autodidact. Using a Med Kit does not count in order to add an additional Token.
