This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Every season in Destiny 2, we get a whole new set of weapons, along with a new Origin Trait. In Season 23, we get to experience the Dragon’s Vengeance Basic Origin Trait in all its glory and usefulness. While the trait might depend on your allies dying or you reaching dangerously low health levels, it can still be quite useful, as it was intended to be. However, due to the specific circumstances of the trait’s ability being activated, it would probably be smart to stick to using weapons that have Dragon’s Vengeance while you’re traveling with a Fireteam.

What Is Dragon’s Vengeance in Season of the Wish?

Dragon’s Vengeance is the new Basic Origin Trait that comes with all of the Season of the Wish weapons. This includes:

  • Doomed Petitioner
  • Appetence
  • Scatter Signal
  • Scalar Potential
  • Supercluster
  • Lethophobia

There aren’t too many weapons you can get the Origin Trait on, but it’s still quite useful considering its effect.

  • Dragon’s Vengeance
    • When an ally dies or you reach critical health, this weapon’s magazine refills, and it gains bonus range, charge rate (Reload Speed, Draw Time), and handling.

Considering the possibilities that Dragon’s Vengeance provides, any weapon boasting this Origin Trait could potentially be quite potent. Since the trait activates when you reach critical health or an ally dies, it could be beneficial to use these weapons when fighting with a Fireteam. There’s much more potential for it to be activated when you have others with you rather than when you’re alone.

If you don’t have friends to play with, trying out the new Fireteam Finder mechanic could prove to be useful. You could run with a group of two blueberries that are actually in your fireteam rather than just in the activity with you, allowing your reload speed, draw rate, and handling to increase more often.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
